EU(유럽연합) CTM상표 출원 ( COMMUNITY TRADEMARK )

1. EU 상표출원 대상국가:  Austria, Bulgaria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom.
2. EU CTM(COMMUNITY TRADEMARK) MARK의 사용: 등록후 5년내에 최소한 1개국 이상 국가에서 상표가 사용되지 않으면 상표가 취소될 수 있습니다.
A Community Trade Mark must be used within five years of the registration date in the territory of at least one member country or the registration will become vulnerable to cancellation for nonuse. However, use after the five-year term may cure nonuse, provided that in the interim no third party has filed for, registered, or used in 'common law' member states an identical or similar mark, or has filed an action for cancellation for nonuse.
3. 상표등록 유효기한: 10년
4. 상표등록 가능성 검토기간: 약 2~3일후 상표조사 리포트 수령(TRADEMARK COMPREHENSIVE STUDY REPORT)
5. EU국가의 출원은 개별국가 출원방식으로 진행할 수도 있으며 한 번의 출원으로 전체 EU 국가에 대하여 출원할 수도 있습니다.  EU국가에 CTM방식으로 출원할 경우 경비와 시간을 크게 절약할 수 있으며 출원시 위 26개국에 동시에 출원됩니다.
6. 장점: 1) 하나의 상표권 출원으로 전체 회원국에서 보호받을 수 있으므로 비용및 시간을 절약할 수 있으며 절차도 간소화됨.
    2) 등록후 5년내에 회원국중 한 개 국가에서만 사용해도 상표권이 사용된 것으로 보기 때문에 상표권불사용으로 인한 취소가능성이 낮습니다.
7. 상표등록소요기간: 6개월 ~8개월
8. 기타: 3개류 까지 동일 비용으로 출원
